A research registry is collection of information from individuals for research studies, usually gathered through questionnaires. The purpose of MiraKind's registry is to collect information on individuals with our genetic variants. By joining the MiraKind research registry, you agree to be contacted from us with periodic health-related questionnaires.

Participation in the MiraKind research registry entails: 1. Submitting some health and personal information via our secure forms, 2. Taking and returning your saliva sample for DNA analysis, 3. Answering periodic surveys or questions about your health after your genetic testing is complete.

If you have previously sent us a sample or been in a MiraKind study, contact us at info@mirakind.org if you'd like to be included in a research registry.

The greatest benefit is helping to find answers that improve your and other's health. Our studies are done on people who have been tested for specific genetic variants to learn the best ways to help those with our unique variants.

After you purchase your test, you will receive a DNA collection kit in the mail. Follow the provided instructions to do a simple cheek swab, and put the sample in the pre-paid return envelope to mail it back to us.

All storage of your data is secure, HIPAA compliant, and kept confidential. We will never share or sell your data to others, unless you request for your information to be shared with your healthcare provider.
